In the summer of 2016 I spent some time on Rainey Mountain in the north of Georgia, US. The house I stayed at was in the woods and at night the area would drastically change sonically with the loud rhythmical callings of katydids. I recorded the sound of these insects and it is this field recording that opens this album.
The core material on this album was recorded in Iceland during a live streamed performance. The music was improvised using the field recording of the katydids as a point of departure for the hour long electronic performance. The material was then further worked and enhanced in the studio afterwards.
The main instruments used were modular synthesizers by R*S Serge, Make Noise and Verbos Electronics together with a laptop.
The album contains five tracks but is meant to flow seamlessly from one part to the next. A bonus track of the full uncut piece of music is included for a full undisturbed listening experience.

Field recordings from Philadelphia and Rainey Mountain in the US and Nordafar in Greenland.

Recorded and mixed at the Iceland University of the Arts, Tónverið and at home.
